It is (somewhat) possible to remove it with fuel distributor installed, if you remove power steering pump and disconnect: line at fuel filter, return, CPR lines, ColdStart injector, and unbolt injectors. There was a bit or twisting to get it off of the 3 mounting bolts. Fortunately, there isnt usually a good reason to take this thing out - not much can go bad with it.....mine was VERY dirty though
