A few thoughts and observations on auto -> manual conversion 140-160

Matt,
How true about access to the 4th gear switch! I put a pig tail on it when I put the tranny in, but it detached when I started messing around with some other wires. I had wanted to cut an access port in the top of the tunnel, but then the heater turned out to be in the way. Loosening the bolts on the cross-brace makes it a little easier to get your fingers in there, but not much. I think I ended up dropping the whole brace. I had read about the clutch pedal situation on this Board and so managed to do it right the first time. Wish you continued luck with the tranny.
Bob S.
