444 windshield install question 444-544

Hi all -

I'm nearing the moment of installation for the windshield(s) on my '57 444. It sure looks like the seal will have to be trimmed, if not cut in half, for everything to fit together and around the center post that splits the two halves of the glass.

Can anyone confirm this, or offer any insight?

Funny somewhat related thing: the rear window seal is notably too long, though its ends are glued together.
