Yeah right!! ..."Slow & rusty". Double take...OH YEAH!

Got the 1" lowered progressive springs in front and straight rate rears installed and the Bil's too! Pretty much dialed in but the the rear Bil's are valved for a heavier vehicle. Gonna get em re-valved to reduce the high speed compression and rebound valving and it should be right on the money. Taked to Doug at Bilstein today and he has some numbers on some revalving he did some years ago appartently. So far, major improvement in handling. Doesn't feel like the Queen Mary any more.

Interior is stripped and getting it ready for paint. Bumpers are at the the chrome shop. Gonna make up a 2.5 exhaust system this weekend using mandrel bent "U"s. Lucked into one of your headers to connect to.

The engine continues to run good but the the 18 years of sitting probably wasted the valve seals. I get a puff of smoke on warm restarts after running down the the highway briskly (10-15 miles at 60-65). Engine has about 150k total so the guides should be OK. Compression is 140- 145 or so in each hole and even so it is basically pretty solid. Good buy for the money I figure!!

Decided to replace the god awful non original seats with 67 originals. Damn those are comfortable seats!!! Why some fool replaced the originals, I go no idea!

"Moon" disks are on the way...Ha Ha, kinda "retro". What is the 122 wagon record at Bonneville, eh??

Oh yeah... as to the dimmer relay... I put the relay in after work tonight and installed two extra relays to power an old set of Cibie "Z beams" I've had for 25 years and are now equipped with H-4 bulbs. I got a set of Bi-Oscars (insanity) but that have been in the closet for years and gotta go somewhere that I may install on the Yankee Bar. Definitely will need to upgrade the current puny GM alternator though!

In general, life is a little boring..LOL! Driving it to work every day now.
