"you'd do better to spend that money on your 142."

YEah... Thats the thing, my 142 needs so much (ish), so i was thinking i could take it off the road for a while... But i guess i don't really neeeeed to do that.

As for the security guard position... Lol. We at "securitas" are here to improve the general publics opinion of the private security officer. Lol... =D

The car has a manual choke, that doesn't function, it has been mangled and messed up a ton by whoever had the car last. When i first got the car, the choke was always partially on, well, whatever was left of the choke was partially on, that's why my first two runs at the dragstrips were sooo humiliating. I still think there may be something up with the choke though, and i know that the choke's plates are always 1/2 - 3/4 closed. Shayne suggested i play with that to get them to be vertical and not interfere with the flow so much, but i haven't done anything with that yet. And i don't remember my car ever having so much of a problem on the highway when i first got it. But then again, i never really drove it too much on the highway, nor at those speeds for any sustained length. Also, my fuel filter was clogging on a weekly basis so i just used that as an excuse for most of my problems, well, other than the choke problem.

As for my idea of the gas being bad, well, i didn't notice anything funny on my way to work, so i think it may have just been the cold air, and/or something else that worked its way out of the system.

Onto the PLUGs topic. I've been a rebel for the past year, and kept my Bosch Platinums in the car throughout the whole time. Maybe now all your guy's suggestions have caught up with me. I'll go out and grab my third spark plug gapper(lose them every time), or maybe i'll get some feeler guages and thus i'll be able to use them for when i get around to adjusting the valves as well. And some plugs, i want to use NGKs though... I think... Lol. It doesn't really matter...

As for the points, and all that good stuff, i don't really know what i'm doing when it comes to that. I've never taken off the distributor cap and i don't know what its supposed to look like under there or whatever. This last week was the first time, and i kinda scared myself because i didn't know what i was doing when i dropped the oil in there. Someone suggested that maybe i put too much oil in it, but, it never gave me a problem until after i filled it up with the other gas last night, and i did the oil adding about three days or so ago. I'll have to check the condensor's screw too i guess.

As far as the car i was thinking about getting, i was thinking mostly towards like you suggested, and older 240. In fact, there's one that's for sale for 575 i think i saw in the newspaper the other day. Not sure if it was a stick or not though. Or what kind of condition it was in. I guess i can just stick with my car... Although i do want something quieter, and with lower engine speeds at cruising speeds, and a real radio... I guess my car will be good enough when i get the exhaust routed out the back, the engine running fine, and the stupid direct engine fan replaced with an electric one placed out front.

That's all for now folks,
