Front engine seals/ Flame trap relationship, Help!!

In addition to all you've done, be sure the small vac line to the flame trap assy is clear -- better yet, simply replace it. Also confirm that the brass nipple in the intake manifold is clear and that plenty of vacuum (at idle) is making it to the crankcase.
