MAP electrical connection problem 900 1993

1993 940 non turbo 2.3 liter

Every few months, out of the blue, I get erratic idle speed.
All I have to do is disconnect and reconnect the electrical connector to the MAP.
Half the time A code will show up indicating a bad MAP.
Is there a good cleaning process to permanently fix this?
