The speedo in my 1966 Amazon is kaput. I have a new working one to replace it with, and was wondering if there is any magic to getting into the dash that does not mean tearing out every single switch under the dash before getting to the speedometer. Has anyone done this? Any tips?

I know someone is going to suggest it's just the speedo cable and not the speedo itself; I hooked up my replacement to the existing cable and it works fine. It's the speedo, not the cable.
