Though my '79 245 is a K-jet, when I had the BW55, I used to get about 18/20. So I have to say that that sounds about right.
Yes, the engine isn't exactly big, but think about what it's moving around too. These aren't sub-compacts.
But even nowadays, most mid-sized 4-cylinder cars get the low-to-mid 20's in mixed driving. That's after 20+ years of technological "improvements" ...
