how to install a small tachometer?

Take a look at the back of the cluster, often times there is a three pole plug right there that is for the tach. I installed a bunch of these back in the day and as I recall they came with a harness that ran from the back of the cluster over to the center console. If you cannot pick up your tach lead from the back of the cluster you can pick it up off of the coil, it should be the red and white stripped wire. Rule 308
