T5 conversion 140-160

The transmission mount is faily simple to fabricate from an ~8" length of 1.5-1.75 medium weight angle iron. 2 (3/8") holes drilled on one side to match the T-5 bolt holes, and one (3/8") in the center on the other for the Volvo rubber trans mount.
The volvo trans mount goes into the rear set of holes. With the tranmission in place, bolt this solidly. Support the trans above it ~1 inch.
You should bend (3lb sledge) the angle iron closed somewhat at the center, and you should shorten the rubber mount stud that protrudes through, to allow tightening of the nut.
Put the tranny stud through the crossmember and one bolt though the t5 hole and snug them up.
This should leave the other tranny mount hole misaligned forward of the tranny bolt hole.
C-Clamp around the crossmember and angle iron, compressing the rubber mount until the bolt holes align. Put in the tranny bolt. This should leave it at just about the perfect height for the yoke to clear the body and driveshaft tunnel.

You should also remove the dampener weight and mount from the T5.
