I'm working on my 86 DL and it sounds about the same. Starts right up, runs a bit rough, need to feather the clutch to start, accelerates pretty well.Do you have black smoke out the tailpipe? I'm waiting on a replacement air mass meter ( AMM as it is known on this forum). I did a complete tune up with no effect. I did the two AMM checks from the Bentley book and it failed both.
