swapping ECU's 200

Note that a Bosch Rebuilt 561 is OK- they fixed whatever it was that was burning up in them. Should have a sticker saying REBUILT or REMAN.
Nearly every one *I've* seen has caused the car to not run, as the main fuel pump is not provided with a ground path. The circuit (transistor?) to turn on the fuel pump ground is what burns up. I've seen a few wiring harnesses in 89-90 cars doctored up to provide this ground at all times- that makes the fuel pump run even though the engine is not turning. That's OK if and only if you KNOW about it and treat it correctly- ie. do NOT leave the car ON but not running, ever. You can flood it, if you've got a leaky injector.
Wish there was a good fix- but I had not heard that the 951 didn't work with a 5-speed. I know there have been reported slightly different torque numbers with a manual vs. auto, but I wasn't aware that the computer actually was incompatible.

Good luck with yours.
