Light problem after New Deck install 700 1991

Ok, I was looking at the old wiring connectors, and one of them had two wires in one connector, so I hooked them up together and walla! I have lights on all settings! BUT my tail lights are still turning on in the off setting when the DRL are on.... Hmmm
