my tranny out of my 1983 240 has bit the dust. It was a aw70 can i simply rplace it with a aw71 that i have out of a 740. I can see right away that the rear housing will have to be changed to accomadate the speedo pickup. Is there other obstacles i should be aware of before i go ahead. Will i run into any problems putting a tranny out of a turbo into a non-turbo setting? Will the lingage be problamatic? Is it worthwhile will i notice any driving or shifting differences? What exactley is the difference between these two transmissions? thanx in advance Adrian.
