What you wan't dosn't exist. I guess you could get an american made camry which would be a pretty good car. Forget anything from the big three if you want reliability. Why not get a 4cyl 240 or 900 car. These cars really are little maintance. I think that the miantance is even cheaper on these cars then a camry. For instance it cost my parents $600 to have the moter mounts replaced on their camry, where as it cost me $180, including the transmission mount on my 240. Worse yet, my parents had a taurus before buying the camry and when the taurus hit 100000 it needed like 2000 worth of front end work. If that car would have been a Volvo it would have just been broken in at that milage! Needless, to say that car was traded for the non american '94 camry, which a darn nice car for costing just a tade more then a taurus. It also might be noted that the camry became not as good of a car when they started to produce them in the states. They wanted to make them less like the lexus. Hate to say it, but would not by an american car. Maintance on that car has cost less, just because it has broke down less. I think for the money, the best way to go would be a 240 or 940 series car. I guess if it had to be american, i would go with a Chevy Siverado, but that would be costly in more ways then one. Gas and initial price.
