i had a previous 122 whose ignition system gave me endless woes until i replaced the distributor with NOS and put in a new coil(was it my father who said if a coil works sometimes it's fine?)

becuase of all that misery i'm loathe to pull the "points plate" on the new car which is now a pertronix electronic ignition which is doing its job just fine. however, it IS lingering at a higher idle so i'll pull it and take a peek.
