replacing Voltage regulator brushes

I was able to get the old brush leads to release much the same way as Don and Tony except that I used a grinding wheel to grind off a little on the top of the crimped part. Then I heated the solder and the wire came loose. I used a small drill to enlarge the hole a little bit. Then I fed the new brush lead through the hole, bent it over, and soldered it.
