idiot lights on with engine off! 93 245

You didn't mention which 2 idiot lights stayed on, my guess is one of them was the alternator/charge light. If so, the diode (rectifier) in your alternator went south. Happened to me on a 240, you'll need a new rectifier or rebuilt alternator.
