Phil has a beautiful cold air intake that uses piping from the manifold or carbs ( I don't remember if it is FI or carbed) and routes it forward of the radiator and engine compartment and has a K&N filter attached at the end. A very nice modification to his car, something that I will be doing as well when I get my SU's installed. I will use the factory flat panel filter housing with no filter in it, us some short velocity stacks on the SUs, and have a pipe coming off of the assembly leading to the front of the car where I will also have a free flowing cone filter. Awesome if you ask me, and a great idea...
I'm sure Phil could have answered this one, but I beat him to it. (hehehe) He can elaborate on his setup if he so desires...
