Hot coil solution 140-160

Well my father-in-law, Frank, picked us up at the airport last night looking very happy with himself. He even had the faulty part in his pocket. The 144 is back on the road and apparently fixed.(It was too late for me to take it on a test run) Apparently the temp. sensure for the D jet had failed. The car would start right up and run great when cold but when it reached operating temp it would quit. The coil seemed too hot to be normal so I thought it was heating up and then opening the circuit. I was wrong.

Frank has never worked on a Volvo before so he read the haynres manual cover to cover. Then he started replacing logical parts with parts from a wrecked 70 P1800E that I have sitting in the back of the garage. It didn't take him long to have everthing in order and now he's got his eye on the P1800. Maybe this winter.

Thanks all for your help.
