Found a B23FT in the Pick & Pull 700 1985

The potential donor is auto & mine is M46/OD - will that make a difference?

I have added an '88 oil filter adaptor - which neccesitated an '88 turbo oil return line, but I still have the '85 & can build a flexible tube version if necessary.

When the head is off, I'll measure the bore - 96mm for std pistons C, 96.1 for E 96.2 for E, 96.4 for G If OK I'll pull it.

Earthman - the B23FT has a forged steel crank, 13mm conrods, thrust bearing in a useful location and an abiltity to rev to 9K - maybe the most bulletproof 4cyl engine ever built - If you knew me you would say please, give him one...
I'm in California, where I'm required to smog test (Smog Check II, toughest in the nation) on a dyno every year and my 20-year Volvo cheerfully spits out less than 10% of the allowable pollutants...

Thanks for the info.

To summarize - I'll grab

Turbo return line
Valve cover
Crank pulley
Timing belt cover

over the short block - still worried about the flywheel, though

cheers - dave
