If you want to get the crank bolt out go buy the tool to do the job right. its only about $40 and is simple to use. Best investment I made when I change the timing belt on my 91 940SE. Im my case I have a mechanical and electric fan. I took off the maechanical fan but my electric fan is on the other side of radiator toward the grill. Good Luck.
