Timing Belt and Seals 900 1993

Assuming a redblock 940:

1. Other than belt, seals and tensioner, is there anything else I should order (any gaskets - I saw a TB cover gasket at FCP)? I plan on doing the water pump also.

No, you have covered everything you will need. No TB cover gasket needed on the 940.

2. Does the electric fan have to be removed? I was able to get the drive belts and water pump pulley off without removing it.

No, but it comes out very easily (2 screws) and the wires are long enough to just flip it over on top of the engine. It makes getting the crank pulley off a lot easier. Definitely worth the time to undo a couple of screws.

3. Tool 5284: Will it also counterhold the sprockets so I can get at the seals?

I've never had to use a special tool, I loosen the sprocket bolts before I remove the belt, they should loosen easily, if not, judicious use of a punch/screwdriver to hold the sprocket has worked for me.
