IPD Heater Control Valve 900 1992

I recently purchased an IPD heater control valve for my 940T 92. Made in Mexico all plastic. The one currently in my T is working fine( half plastic and metal), the car has 130,000 miles. The new one seems flimsy...I am curious to see if anyone hs had one of the old unit in for a long time and what is the reliability of the new one.
