Rear-End Vibration/Shake 140-160

I just changed the automatic tranny to a 4 speed O/D on my 164e, 1974. This tranny came out of a 75 164e. When I "take-off" in first gear there is a vibration/shake coming from the rear end of the car. I replaced the center rubber support mount with a new one. I noticed that the center support mounting bracket is larger on the 75 than the one from the 74, could this be the problem? The differential seem to be in good running condition so I'm not sure what's causing it to shake. Thanks for all the info.
