B23F intake

Hi BB,
How come Volvo put all the engine wiring through the intake? Also, why is it when someone explains about the wiring under the front of the engine no mention is made of the five wires going to the ignition control? I have seen a few posts mentioning the alternator wiring and the oil sensor wiring having problems at that place, and recomendations to re-route the wires, but not the ignition wiring. (just a curious thought while "playing" with my brick in the driveway today)
