Water leak from sunroof crank 700 1989

Water has been intermittantly dripping into the car through the sunroof crank area. I had the sunroof checked last summer. The shop tested the sunroof, took it out, and resealed the sunroof to the body. They reported that they could not find any water problem due to the sunroof or the sunroof tray. The headliner around the front and sides of the sunroof crank are wet when there is water dripping in. The headliner around the sunroof area is dry. I have concluded that the sunroof is likely not the problem. When the water was dripping in, I opened the sunroof and did not noticed much water in the gutter area around the sunroof.

Would anyone know if the problem could be the windshield? I had the windshield replaced about 5 years ago. When there is water dripping, I felt the headliner along the edge where the headliner meets the windshield edge but it did not appeared wet. The problem is intermittant which is also a puzzle.

Thanks.
