I've had my 745t a couple of months and during that time have had a slight surging when accelerating which I've lived with to this point while taking care of other issues.
Soon after getting the car I pulled the spark plugs to check their condition and get a baseline for my records. Normal stuff I do, rich, lean, evidence of oil etc.
All the plugs were very clean but worn. Insulators were bone white. Too lean.
This morning I thought I'd disconnect and plug the vacumn line on the FPR just to see what the effect would be. Absolutely no difference in startup, cold or hot running, no power gain or loss and the surging was still present but amplified.
Guess I'll order a new FPR. This one looks like it could be original 185,000 miles). I'm basing that on appearance. It's shows the same amount of oxidation as the fuel rail and intake manifold.
