Is there any modifications to the steering in a 122? 120-130

My wife won't drive the car because she thinks the steering is too hard. I think it steers fine. I haven't seen any modifications to the steering system posted. Is there any?? Would it make any difference???

I thought the manual rack and pinion steering from a 240 would work in a 122, but looks like the cross member would need a 6 inch block weld/bolted to it to line up the steering arms. I thought someone would of have updated the steering for racing/performance purposes??
