There's no way I can put something together which beats an existing module which is commercially available at $25...and there's no way I would want to! Does the term: Reinventing the wheel mean anything to you? It even looks like this is a modern, efficient, switch-mode unit. In the manufacturers data, it even states that "two modules can be paralleled to double the available current"...4Amps...now were talking! (even at $50).

I have done some checking as to a slightly more direct source than buying a German made module from down under...that CAN'T be cost effective! As a confidence builder, I'm also inquiring if anyone has first-hand experience with this module on the German Volvoniacs Forum. I'll post results here.
