AutoZone OBDII Code Reading Capabilities 900 1998

David,

I was the one trying to replace the PNP switch without dropping the exhaust on the advice of a another lister. I had another person look at my car and we each agreed it was physically impossible to remove the PNP switch on this car without removing the trans. fluid cooler return line which in turn meant the exhaust had to come down so you could get at the nut on the cooler line.

I had been able to remove both the 22mm nut and the 12mm bolt on the switch but it would not come off the trans shaft becasue of the line running in front of it. If Volvo had just put that bend in the line 1-2 inches further back, it would have come off and there would have been no need to drop the exhaust and disconnect the trans line.

I am e-mailing you my R&R procedure via e-mail. I'll be doing this again in the next few weeks on our 95 960)

Warning : I was very detailed on the procedure. So take it with a grain of salt.
