With some high performance vehicles, where the resonance pulses of the exhaust system are carefully balanced to maximize exhaust gas scavenging when the exhaust valves open, it could be a problem. But in this case, I wouldn't worry too much. You might lose a tiny bit of HP. On the other hand, you might gain. It's probably a wash.
