Turbo or Sensor problem? 700 1990

I had the same symptoms in my 740 turbo, hesitation under acceleration and no power delivery. The problem was intermittent and I solved it changing the knock sensor. It was retarding the timing sometimes, otherwise it ran OK. Unfortunately there is no possible dynamic testing for the knock sensor. Try a used one first.
