T5 Trans adapters 200

Dave, thats the attitude I like to hear!

Alex. The T5 swap will be involved, but not difficult. Basicly, they fit with out hacking up the floors (like the t56 if I remeber correctly) and are much stronger than any OHC volvo transmissions. You'll have to have your driveshaft shortened (by around 2 inches if I recall) and have to take a die grinder to your crossmember. You'll also (hopefully) be able to use a Volvo pressure plate with a Ford 5.0 mustang clutch disc and thats about it! The shifter posistion is just about the right spot.

This would make it the last transmission that most of us would ever have to install. :D

I am doing it for sure, so I will outline the entire process over at www.clubvolvo.com so this will hopefully give you a better impression of whats involved.

Doug
