I found that my breather box was totally clogged and not passing any vapor at all. It had an old style metal flame trap stuffed into the nipple on the breather box. I decided to go for it and replace the box. It turned into a bigger but rewarding project. I ended up getting the box from Volvo and the gasket from FCPGroton. Some like the dealer gasket better, but it costs about six times as much in my town. I also pulled and cleaned the injectors and their ports and gave them new seals, replaced the temp gauge sender wire, replaced all the vacuum hoses in the area, removed and cleaned the throttle body (new gasket), and cleaned the manifold itself inside and out. While I was at it, I relocated the flame trap to where I can very easily access it. It took me a long time, but I learned a lot, thanks to the helpful guys on this site. If you decide to go ahead with it, I'll be happy to help. I just finished mine about three weeks ago. The K-Jets get a little scary under the manifold, at least for me, anyway. There are lines all over the place under there. You can do it if you're systematic and careful and not in a rush. Also, just to warn you, you might end up deciding to replace the engine wiring harness while you're in there.
