Hello Static, I had that problem with the lights (headlights & gauge lights) dimming. My problem was the voltage regulator in my alternator. I also had to get a battery since mine was 6 years old. Not sure if it's your battery, but sounds definitely like a voltage reg. I hope this helps you out...g-luck "Street"
