hi there you all , I have just read a posting from gholmer with good advice about a windscreen replacement. My question is simply, can I replace the section of metal work between the screen and bonnet before getting the screen replaced by the professionals or will they try to condemn the finshed job as being my fault if it wont seal properly because I have messed about with the trim ? perhaps I should inform them of my intentions before going ahead ?
does anybody have the volvo part numbers for the clips that may be required on re fitting of the screen?
the panel I want to replace is slightly rusty and has been repaired in the past but not to any great degree of quality so I would like too replace it as its the only bit of rust on the 740.
