Third brake light

Robert -

The addition of that light included other wiring changes, so I think that your car does not have pre-wiring.

The brake lights run through the bulb failure warning system relay after the brake light switch. The third light runs through the BFWS relay, and that relay is a new p/n from the pre-1986 models.

Best way for you is to wire the third light direct off the brake light switch.
