Oops... this belongs in the main thread.

By the way, this belongs in the main thread--I replied mistakenly to the wrong message.

I forgot to add, the concerning thing is that the system continues to build pressure until something explodes. That isn't right. Even if you welded the pressure tank closed, it should theoretically only build to a certain amount. The fact that it skyrockets enough to explode a radiator is almost a sure sign of a problem.

Pressure test while the car is running and you'll probably get scared. If enough gas is building through the system, the tiny valve in the top of the radiator cap won't be enough to discharge it all at once. It's a good idea to be sure of how and when the pressure builds.
