How long have you had your brick ?

Bought my '83 240GL new in Dec 82! Still my only car and has about 200K -- no odometer for last 10 years or so. Original paint and all original powertrain. Runs smooth as silk with original radiator, spark plug wires, relays[!], original brake disks and calipers, cat [still passes NJ's inspection]. Front end is nice and tight with all original components. Nothing done other than one wheel alignment long ago. Original seats and fabric. Original fuel pumps, AMM, FI computer, ignition unit, alternator, and radio [pushbuttons]. Gone through 2 water pumps. Virtually no rust. Never a mechnical problem with the engine or trans or rear end. That's the good news. The bad is I have been replacing wiring at an ever increasing rate [biodegradable insulation you know], a/c works as well as it ever did [doesn't cool much]. As I remember, I paid about $14K for this car new. In the next couple years I will spring for something new, and it will not be a Volvo. Their current offerings are horrible.

Thanks to all for your maintenance and repair guidance which has gotten me this far.
