DIY windshield swap

If you are a safety nut (like most of the rest of us) keep in mind that your Volvo treats the windshield as a structural member. If it is not glued in as Volvo intended it to be glued in, it won't perform as designed in a rollover.

As noted in the other post, getting it out without breaking it is not easy. The pros use wire saws, I believe.

Putting it in is also dicey. It should be glued on both sides (glass to rubber and rubber to metal). If you don't get it just right, you have to tear it out, clean it up, and get another new seal.

Good luck.
