I messed up on prior message and hit enter button before I finished. Can I take a 4 cyl engine short block from a 82 Volvo Dl with engine family CVV 130V6fhp Engine displacement 130cc and use it on a 88 volvo (assume it to be a 240) with a B230F engine with engine family HVV 2.3 Fe10. My junk yard buddy's daughter just bought the 88 and drove it 4 days and the engine blew. The kid just got out of highschool and works as a waitress. They borrowed 1500 from the credit union for this and the seller said tough luck. I have 2-3 Volvo parts cars but their years range from 82 thru 85. I also have a few Turbos about same year range. They tried to find a bone yard engine replacement but they need another $1000. My engines would cost about $100. Your advice and direction would be very helpful.
