engine swapping 700

First of all, Thaks guys for your thoughtfull advise. I think I'm going to cancel this project (base on your helpfull advise and my mechanics).

The reason why I want to try the project is because In Indonesia, because of the economic condition, people are using swapping metode in order to renew or to boost performance of their car. I happen to know many people here, are doing swapping engine project even from different manufacturer and it come out a big success. For instance, there have been a Toyota and Mitsu swap, Mercedes E to C class and BMW E46 to newer version. It's true I've never heard about Volvos. It is common in Indonesia, especially Jakarta, that a repairshop offering swapping service or advise one to swap the engine for better performance it is cheaper (labor in indonesia is cheap).

Another q I want to put is volvo' engine design for each type is so different. I think the new design was base on the older one (B230 from B23).

Regarding the Engine mgt. system, off course it need a compatible ECU but there are so many electronic services that offering Remapping of old CPU (not that expensive compare to buy a new one). And the engine I've ask your advise is come with the ECU, yes it still need the wiring.

Anyway, thanks again guys !
