Matt, good point.

Chris,the article clearly spells out that Dexcool is fine for cars that came OEM with Dexcool. And I believe that. In fact, I have absolutely no doubt about it. However, people on this board HAVE had problems with dexcool. That is a simple fact. Why mess with something when you have an absolutely safe alternative. I just don't want to see more good old Volvo's in the scrapyard. I guess if you change coolant as frequently as you should, there is NO debate really. But, as you know, a lot of people do not. If you have run dexcool with no problems, I believe you and you have no reason to not use it. I'm just very precautious and know that if I use a 50/50 water-green coolant mix, I will have no problems. That is almost a guarantee (barring a catastrophic puncture somewhere).
