ipd - worth the money???

Even the cheapest of skates (ahem) on this board will probably agree that there is no single mod that pays off like the IPD bars, even with the substantial investment. That is why Ebay and other used parts avenues are so devoid of these bars at a discount. There are simply very few owners who would part with their bars, I think. I think the brake bleeder pressure tool, or one of similar design, is an essential maintenance item.
