Curious hesitation problem... 1800 1972

Yea...I'll do the throttle switch first. It did seem to do it very slightly at idle... , but not cut out completely. It would idle at about 1200 for a second, then drop to perhaps 1050 for a 1/4 sec, on the same ~1sec interval.

Fuel pressure did cross my mind, and maybe even the pump, considering the one I put in was thrown together using parts from 2 rusty pumps and 1 clean pump that didn't work... But I do think the pump is OK.

I'm also not sure if it does this when its cold, or just warm. I'll check that today and get back...

Fuel filter looks to be new, and I don't think the tank is rusty, but.... ?

After installing the pump, it took quite a while to get fuel to come out (after filling it up, as it was empty), but seemed to have plenty of flow once I did. One other thought... I had to replace the line from the tank to the pump, and the only fuel line I had was some A) slightly too small and B)fairly thin walled and weakish...so I'm thinking that *maybe* the fuel pump is pulling hard enough through that line that it is collapsing it. Does that sound like a possibility?
