164 or 242 DL and saving 5 classics

Hello everyone. I need your help once again. this time I need your help in deciding if I should keep my 1980 242 DL (B21F, M46) or should i go with the ~1970 164 (I-6, 4SPD). The 164 will only cost me $25 to purchase , but i need new carbs pout on and those come with the car. So, which car tends to be easier to work on, a 164 Inline 6, or the 242 DL B21F.
Thank you all.
Ian Schilf

PS The guy who has this 164 for sell needs to clear his yard (a real grass lawn and not a junkyard). So he told me i could have 5 Older Volvos only for $175. Those five cars are (2) 242, (1) 164, (2) 145 (they are both wagons). So if anyone want to help me in saving these 5 older Volvos get ahold of me via e-mail @ ischilf@yahoo.com The man who has them right now says the he will either sell them or by 8/30/02 he's going to take them to the recycling center and get the money from the steel. Thank you once again
