2 Problems 200 1988

Asudad,

I know exactly what you mean with problem # 1 and I hope that someone will jump in with a good solution.

On my '86 240 M46, unfortunately I fixed several things at once and that problem went away, so while I wish I could tell you which one was the real solution, I can't.

I did find a split in the rubber vacuum line attached the fuel pressure regulator which was adversely affecting fuel pressure. You might check to see if that is affecting yours.

I put in a Mann air filter, cleaned the contacts on the AMM, cleaned the 25A fuse, cleaned the fuses, cleaned the connectors on the coil, put in new platinum Bosch plugs, cap, and rotor, and then gave her a shot of Techron and an Italian tuneup. She runs great now and no longer has that hesitation when cold.

Hope that helps some,

Regards,

TomD
