155 doesn't sound low to me. That is better than 11:1 effective
compression ratio. Remember that atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psia.
So it started at 14.7 psia and went to 169.7 psia. That calculates to
11.5...
(which seems a little high for a B20B!)
In any case if its performance is satisfactory and it is not leaking
or burning oil, DON'T MESS WITH IT! It's FINE!!
BTW my book says 9.3:1 CR for your engine and it also says 170-200 for
compression test pressure. It doesn't say whether that is a gauge pressure(psig) or an absolute pressure (psia) but my calculation based on 14.7 psia
yields a gauge pressure of about 137 psig for 9.3:1 cr
BTW(2) I have run engines with compression pressures as low as 40 psig.
(Didn't run very well, though.)
